The Spectroswiss research and development team is located at the vibrant EPFL Innovation Park and consists of the experts in the fields of mass spectrometry, signal processing, ion physics, electronics, and bioinformatics. Hardware production partners include high precision manufacturing expert companies in Switzerland and Germany. Strong advisory board includes both industrial and scientific experts.
Dr. Yury O. Tsybin – CEO and Founder
More than 15 years of experience in high performance mass spectrometry.
Established and headed the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry Laboratory and served as a Director of the Mass Spectrometry Service Facility at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland.
Research and innovation achievements include implementation and development of super-resolution signal processing methods for mass spectrometry-based qualitative and quantitative proteomics and metabolomics, novel mass analyzers and electron injection systems for improved high performance Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and tandem mass spectrometry.
Author and co-author of more than 95 papers and 5 patents. In 2011 received the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant to pioneer and develop the super-resolution mass spectrometry for the applications in health and environmental areas. In 2012 received a European Young Chemist Award, in 2014 the SGMS Award of the Swiss Group for Mass Spectrometry, and in 2016 the Curt Brunnée Award of the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF).
